Landrey's Journey Part 4 (First Birthday)

This was originally posted on Landrey’s first birthday.

It's been a year.
I could write a lot of things.
I could summarize long hospital days. I could describe what it feels like to watch helplessly as your baby codes.
I could tell you about fear.
I could tell you about fight.
I could tell you what feels like to hold your breath, not for minutes but for months. But as we recognize Landrey's first birthday today, this isn't about how many dramatic moments, blood transfusions, or days on life support she fought through.
This is about you.
Landrey is here for you. She's here to remind you that there is a God. Her life is evidence of His power. He loves you.
You may not believe in Him. But He still believes in you.
He sent His son, Jesus to die on the cross to make a way for your eternity. You no longer have to carry the weight of your sin and shame.
Somebody or something may have pulled you away from His arms. Maybe you never really believed. But today, September 7th, let this be a day you recognize your Creator.
He is real.
One of the top pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons told me one hour before Landrey coded, he didn't know what was happening to Landrey or how to prevent it. You can your trust in money, medicine, career, people, things and even yourself and it cannot help you, only He truly can!

God is real. Believe in miracles. Landrey is proof.

Happy 1st Birthday Landrey Hope! You've changed our lives forever.

"For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently."(Romans 8:24-25)
